Brazil is the largest country in South America with the maximum population.
The economy in Brazil today is on the rise. It has acquired the ninth place in the world and the first place in Latin America. Brazil's $1.3 trillion economy is bigger than those of India and Russia, and its per-capita income is nearly twice that of China.
Blessed with an abundant natural resources, Brazil has a large and growing agricultural, mining, manufacturing and service sectors. Brazil's excessive production has led to the export of agricultural goods to other contries and thus, earning a good amount of money. There has also been a great development in the field of science and technology in Brazil due to the foreign investment in the country.
According to the National Registry of Employment and Unemployment Report, Brazil had created 932,600 new jobs in the first nine months of the year 2009, despite the international financial crisis.

My initial idea of Brazil’s economy was completely inaccurate. I wasn’t expecting Brazil to have a bigger economy and per capita than some of the more dominant European and Asian countries. I wonder what they did to produce all those new jobs, especially during a financial crisis. Whatever they did to get those numbers the United States should take note as to how they produced all those jobs. CNN recorded the national unemployment rate at 7.2% in December 2009.

Brazil is indeed the most populated country in South America. I agree with you on that. I did not know that Brazil is the ninth country in the world with the best economy. Since its population is so big i thought that they're economy was just good. I did not know it was that good. Thank you for your information, it was nice learning something new about a country that i would like to visit.
ReplyDeleteThe information you decided to write this week was amazing. I would really like to visit the country sometime in my life. It is said that Brazil's macroeconomic poisition is its highest it has ever been. It's growth is expected to reach atleast 5 percent.
ReplyDeleteIt is comforting to know that there are countries in South and Central America that exist as forces to be reckoned with. They have been overshadowed by larger more affluent countries in the past, and the time for that is passed. I am always on the look out for countries in which I might take up residence in order to escape some of the dark times ahead for the United States. Brazil may turn out to be one of those.
ReplyDeleteThere were many things in this post that I did not know. Mainly the sheer size of Brazil'a economy, and the fact that it surpasses China's, was very suprising to me. The country I chose to write about is Argentina, and already in my research I am discovering what a large role Brazil has on the Argentinian economy, being one of their chief trading partners. It will be interesting to see the ways in which the two economies effect each other.
